Parallel Lines

If two lines are parallel, they will appear parallel in all orthographic views. Two views are normally enough to determine whether or not two lines are parallel, unless the end points of the line project from view to view along the same projection line, as shown in Example 3. In that case, a third view must be constructed to determine whether or not the lines are parallel. In example #3, the lines lie on parallel planes, but they are not parallel to each other.
